This is going to be a short and practical guide, and this time, I took a different approach to planning my Italian-style Summer Capsule Wardrobe.
Instead of starting with outfit inspiration, I reverse-engineered the process—building my capsule wardrobe around the pieces I absolutely want to wear this season.
Table of Contents
How I Built My Summer Capsule Wardrobe
I started by listing the key pieces in my closet that I’m excited to wear—some are new and waiting to be styled, while others are favorites I always reach for.
Next, I searched for outfit ideas on Pinterest using specific keywords related to those pieces. Some of my searches included:
- Cream trousers outfits
- Burgundy summer outfit
- Puffed skirt outfits
- Brown satin trousers outfits
- Denim sheath dress
- Light blue summer outfits
At the same time, I identified a few gaps in my wardrobe—pieces I know I need to buy to complete my looks.
Finally, I created a list of outfits I want to recreate, combining what I already own with a few thoughtful purchases.

My Italian Summer Outfit Inspiration

Black and white is a lovely pairing in Summer. It’s elegant and easy to put together. I am eying this ecru midi skirt, but I might style my navy one instead.

I have actually already styled this for Spring, both with jeans and navy cigarette pants. I will repeat it for Summer but switch the accessories. Here’s a gorgeous red top, in case you are looking for one.

If you are in love with this look, just like me, have a look at this stunning button front vest I found.

Those brown pants are stunning. I have an old pair in satin, but I am this pair of culottes from Mango, if they don’t sell out.

I already have a similar lovely navy blue skirt with a puffed style, but if you are looking for one here’s a similar one.
