Hi. If you are looking for the best Italian shoe brands, you’re in the right place. Welcome!
I wanted to create a resource for anyone, like you, who loves Italy, Italian fashion, and shoes.
Here you’ll find a list of high-quality Italian handmade shoes, most of which started operating decades, if not centuries ago.
Of course, I list famous Italian designer brands, like Valentino and Gucci. But, I have also included lesser-known ones. That’s because these are the cream of Italian shoemaking. They offer luxury high-quality handmade shoes, often at a fraction of the designer prices.
So sit back, grab a cup of tea or a cappuccino, and go through the list at your own pace. I am thrilled to help you discover new amazing Italian brands.
Enjoy!

Under each section, you’ll find the link to the Italian shoe brand, a description of the types of shoes, and a few style recommendations.
I plan to update this list as I find a great Italian shoe brand to share with you, so you may want to bookmark it, and come back.

Italian Shoe Brands For Women
I will start with the women first, as I am excited to browse many of these myself. But I promise, a man section and a small but mighty kids one will follow right after. If you are here for those, just scroll to the bottom, or click the link in the table of contents above.
Salvatore Ferragamo – Creator of the Cork Wedge & Invisible Heel
I have seen many women wearing the heeled slides. Ferragamo shoes also include more practical options like flat slides, flat espadrilles, and chunky heel sandals.
My favorite for Summer (which is when I am writing this) are the sandals with the Gancini ornament. But if you are looking for something unique, check out the Elina and the Bejeweled sandals.

Valentino – Iconic Timeless Shoes
We all know Valentino’s hottest shoe styles, don’t we? There are the famous Rockstud in different models. Those include the slingbacks with different heights, but let’s not forget the Mary Janes.
I love how they combine different styles together so beautifully. Have you seen the black Rockstud slingback? It’s gorgeous!
If you like me, want to elevate your everyday Summer sandals and get a lot of use out of them, take a look at the 60mm heel Rockstud sandals with straps. They come in multiple colors.

Tod’s – Creators of the Iconic Gommino Shoe
When I think about Tod’s, I think of stylish comfort. What about you?
You can never go wrong with a leather moccasin, with or without heels. But there are more interesting styles like the heeled slingback moccasins. That’s ideal for someone who has a more minimal, slightly masculine, and edgy style. I’d love to try it on!
If you are shopping for comfort, maybe for your next Italian trip, check out the slipper suede moccasins. They seem really cozy.
Gucci – World Famous Ready-to-wear Luxury Shoes
Gucci is a little bolder than the others we’ve seen earlier. But if you like me, enjoy a more minimalist type of outfit, a bolder shoe might be the right way to lift it up, and give it that something extra.
If that’s what you want, I would consider these models:
- The Gucci Jordan Loafer (comes in slipper too)
- The Red Signoria Slingbacks are stunning
- The Flat Horsebit Slingbacks
- The Red or Pale Blue Horsebit Pumps
- The GG Ballet Flat Slingback
I could go on and on. They’re stunning!
Fila – Comfortable & Affordable Italian Shoes
I love how Fila has something for everyone – men, women, and kids. Their models range from very affordable to a little more special and pricey. But it’s all about the casual styles.
They have simple white pairs of sneakers, as well as bold-colored ones.
The Tennis 88 VTG Low is a great classic to wear on your Italian holiday, with a pair of jeans and a blazer. That’s a very popular style in Italy among both men and women. And they have similar styles for kids too, in case you’d like to all match.
Giuseppe Zanotti – Luxury Shoes since 1994
If you are the type of person who doesn’t like wearing the same pair of shoes most women are wearing, check out Zanotti’s shoes.
Although famous, they are not popular as the Gucci and Valentino styles. They are nonetheless a premium and luxurious shoemaker, offering many unique models.
My favorites right now are:
The Brendha Sabot; I love how it has a more squarish front.
The Branda Croco.
The Valentine Crystal
If you want something bolder, check out the Brenha Allure 45. And the Peony is perfect for a special occasion.

Sergio Rossi – Elegant & Feminine Italian Luxury Shoes
Speaking of bold and unique, if you appreciate those types of shoes, then this is a brand to consider.
Have you seen these models?
- The Black Mermaid Booties
- The Animal Print Rossi Booties
- The Open Front White Booties
They are not for the faint of heart, and their prices are much higher than Gucci and Valentino. But they are truly something else!
You can also find more classic styles, like the Godiva Slingback and the Godiva Pump.

Santoni – Relaxed Elegant Shoes
Santoni really nails that tagline. You’ll understand what I mean as soon as you click the link I have shared below.
The first pair to catch my eyes is the White Tumbled Leather Slip-on Sneaker. It’s gorgeous and looks so comfortable too.
That’s the kind of shoes that will go with many of these Italian Casual Wear outfits.
Other gorgeous models I have spotted include the Brown Leather Mid-heel Beyond Sandal and the Pink Leather Andrea Tassel Loafer.
If you work in a corporate setting, the Pink Patent Leather mid-heel Slingback is perfect for everyday elevated outfits.
But there’s so much more to explore. Have a look.
Luca Grossi – Classic and Modern Affordable Italian Shoes
Here’s a more affordable Italian shoe brand you can shop online.
If you love loafers, definitely check out Luca Grossi. They seem to have every imaginable style, and that’s not contained in the Loafers section I have linked to below. Look at the Slip On and Decollete sections too.
I am eying their White Pamela Sneaker and their Natasha Light Blue Chanel.
If you need a pair of comfortable sandals for your Italian Summer vacation, check out their Sandals section too.
Scarosso – All the Classics & More (Mid-Tier Prices)
Here is another more affordable but refined Italian shoe brand.
As I click the link below, my eyes immediately turn to the Serena Cognac Mule. I am not a mule girly, but I love that color. It also comes in white.
Right after that, I can see the gorgeous Viviana Crema. It’s a beautiful minimalist yet feminine cream colored flat slingback.
They also have many classic boots, and more unique options too. I mean, look at that Valentina Burgundy Mesh Friulane. These are a Spring and Summer shoe from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.

Rangoni Atelier – Italian Shoes for the US Market
If you are in the US, you might be familiar with this one. They became famous thanks to the US market, so much so they are now based in Florence and San Diego. They also sell in Nordstrom and have stores in different states.
Their prices are also mid-range, similar to Scarosso.
I love the Red Panarea Slingbacks and the Bormio Black Pump. I also appreciate how they used Italian cities and towns’ names for a few of their styles.
Not an Italian city, as far as I know :), the Panda exudes elegance and style. The Black Pascal is a classic black pump with a twist.
Nero Giardini – High-End Footwear Made in Italy At Reasonable Prices
Nero Giardini is one of the brands on this list I like to shop at. I have just bought a pair of Embellished Ankle Strap Sandals in silver. They are both gorgeous and comfortable. Their Logo Skater Sneakers are also intriguing, and so are their Ankle Boots in natural, that have a big buckle in front.
If you like chunky sneakers, have a look at their Black Technical style with gold accents.
Nero Giardini doesn’t have an online shop but you can find it on these famous retailers:
Shop Nero Giardini on Nordstrom
Shop Nero Giardini on Neiman Marcus
Shop Nero Giardini On The Lyst

Italian Shoe Brands For Men
Many of the brands I have listed above also do men’s shoes. So as you shop for yourself, you can browse Italian shoes for your partner.
And if you are a man, hello and welcome. My fashion content is more geared towards women, however, all my other Italy travel, language, culture, and food content is useful for everyone.
Tods For Men
This Italian Classic Shoe Style was initially made for men, so there are plenty of stunning men’s loafers to shop on Tod’s.
From city to boat style, in leather or suede, they come in many colors – from classic to unique ones. They even have them in mule and boot style.
But it doesn’t stop at loafers! They have all the men’s Italian styles, including the car shoes in collaboration with Lamborghini.
Valentino For Men
From Leisure Flow Espadrilles to One Stud Sneakers, Garavani really knows how to satisfy men who like a trendy yet elegant shoe.
I love the Upvillage Low Top Sneakers for my husband, however, I bet he would pick the Toile Iconographie Totaloop or the colorful Vlogo Easy-jog.
If you are looking for a slip on shoe, they also have leather loafers, monk strap shoes, and the Oxford.
The list goes on, with clogs, leather boots, Birkenstock-like, and more.
Valentino Garavani Men’s Shoes

Fila – Comfortable Italian Shoes For Men
I already told you earlier that when you shop at Fila, you can match your signature white shoes to your partner’s. However, if you are looking for something bright and colorful, you’ll find a lot of choices.
That includes lines like Fastic, Sanati, and Corda. They come in different color combinations.
And Fila also offers sneakers boots, in case that’s your vibe.

Ferragamo For Men
Ferragamo is one of my favorite brands for men. From their driver shoes to the shiny double monk strap, and the stylish sneakers, those are the kind of shoes I see an Italian man wearing.
So if you are looking to start dressing more like an Italian, and you have a higher budget, consider this brand. It’s stylish and timeless. It has that non-chalant, sprezzatura vibe and silent luxury, that’s quintessential Italian.
Also, their prices are lower than brands like Valentino and Gucci.

Berluti – Luxury Italian Leather Shoes for Men
Triple the price of Ferragamo, Berluti is the epitome of Italian men’s shoes. They invented a very famous style you likely have in your wardrobe. You can read more about that here.
But they offer many more designs, including the stunning Shadow Cashmere and Leather Sneaker. It’s a work of art for your feet!
While the brand is very elegant, it also caters to a more modern man vibe, of course, while still keeping it timeless.
Giuseppe Zanotti For Men
If you love black shoes, check out this brand. They do black shoes really beautifully, their attention to details is impeccable, and they offer many designs.
For all the others, don’t worry, you’ll still find your brown, beige, and even reds and greens.
If you love a boat shoe, check out the Maui. If you’d like an elegant yet punchy option, check out the Tuxedo Diamond.

Gucci Men Shoes
While Ferragamo is my favorite men’s Italian shoe brand, Gucci is my husband’s. He would love the Re-Web Sneakers, and any other brightly colored one :).
If you really want bold, check out the Ripple Sneaker. Whereas, if you prefer elegant shoes, like I do, the leather loafers are truly special. There’s one in particular that I think is stunning, and it comes in forest-green suede.
But there’s more. You should see all the boat shoes and the suede ankle boots. The latter is perfect for the upcoming Fall season.

Fratelli Rossetti – Handmade Italian shoes since 1940 near Milan
Another very affordable brand, for the high craftsmanship. This is a really good one, and I wasn’t expecting their prices to be so low. That’s considering they invented one of the iconic Italian shoes, first for men, and later for women. Read more about that style here.
If you want elevated Italian shoes that fit a polished yet comfortable lifestyle, which you can wear daily and for special occasions, you’ll love this brand and the prices.
I would start by looking at the original Fratelli Rossetti model, the lace-up shoes, and the leather and suede sneakers.
Browse Fratelli Rossetti Men Shoes
Santoni For Men
If you want a similar Italian silent elegance vibe, but don’t mind paying double or more, consider Santoni. Their tassel suede loafers, which I don’t think Rossetti do, are also special. And so are their Nubuck Desert Boots.
Nubuck was my favorite dad’s shoe material, so this makes me smile and brings back many memories. I haven’t seen any other brands use this fabric, but I might need to browse some more.
Scarosso – Classic shoes with a twist
Let’s end with another more affordable Italian shoe brand that does men, but also women and kids.
The first shoe I noticed is the Luciano Sand Suede in a sand color. It’s truly spectacular.
Next, I spot one of the most beautiful sneakers I have ever seen. It’s the Robbie Grey.
If you’re a sandal kind of guy, look at their designs. The Friulane shoes I mentioned earlier for women come in many styles for men. That’s a true authentic Italian shoe style. I share their rich history here.

Scarosso
When I checked, they mainly have loafers, and I must say they are adorable. The colors and suede fabric are perfect and look very comfortable and flexible.
Fila
If you are looking for an Italian brand of kids sneakers, consider this one. It’s affordable, which I imagine is important for the quickly growing little feet.
