Italian-Style Amazon Summer Outfits You’ll Wear On Repeat

Here’s my answer to that: you can definitely find Italian inspired pieces on Amazon, and this post proves that. Look at the six gorgeous outfits I put together, all with pieces I found on Amazon: clothes, shoes and bags.

I have a different question on my mind – will these pieces be high quality enough to give me that elevated Italian feel?

On that note, I am going to also share how I go about picking items on Amazon so that they don’t disappoint.

Let’s start with one of my Amazon bestselling dresses. My readers keep buying this one, and I can see that no one has returned it so far.

How To Shop For Italian-Style Outfits On Amazon

If you love shopping on Amazon but are always disappointed by the quality of the items you order, here are a few tips that will help you pick better pieces. These apply to any style, not just Italian!

Firstly, you need to know what you’re shopping for. If you want to get an Italian-style outfit, you need to make sure you know what you’re looking for, and that outfit really looks Italian. My blog is a good starting point. You can find plenty of Italian outfit ideas, and then shop for them on a budget. It helps if you know what suits you and what doesn’t. If an item doesn’t suit your body shape it’s going to look bad on you, no matter how good quality the fabric feels. So keep that in mind before you press that add to cart button.
Be mindful of your sizes. I have done it before, and I am sure you have too. You add something to your cart and you quickly select a size, but the best way to go about it is to look at the size chart and the exact measurements and compare it to your actual measurements. To avoid wasting time every time you pick a piece of clothing, you can measure yourself once and write it down on a diary or on a note on your laptop to refer to it whenever you need it.
Start with products that have many reviews and a good rating, the higher the better. That’s a great place to start, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read the reviews or look at the images others have shared. I always do this, and it’s what makes me click add to cart or not! I also do it for items that have fewer reviews. After all, they might be gems waiting to be discovered.
Don’t believe everything you read. Amazon is a competitive world for sellers, so don’t be surprised if half of the negative reviews you read come from the competition, even when they have images to prove it! People can be really creative for the worst reasons. With that, I am not saying that you should ignore the reviews, but if it’s just one negative review and all the others are good, maybe it’s worth giving that item a chance.
Look for these signs. When you go through the images, focus on the fit and the fabric, not necessarily how wrinkled an item is or how bad the background looks. Most of the items I ordered, even the expensive ones, look really bad when you try them out all wrinkled, especially if you have messy hair and no makeup. Also, see that the color you love actually looks the way you imagined it.
Frequently returned is not always bad. An item is often returned not because it’s ugly or low quality, but because it doesn’t match the expectations. Part of the fault might be the seller’s and how he displayed it, but the other half is likely ours. Did we stop to measure that bag before we ordered it? Did we read that it has an oversized fit? Try to read the description more carefully. You might waist an extra 5 minutes, but it’s much less than when you have to return things.
Certain products might need a little care. If you read that an item bleeds you have two options: forget about it or do what I do with all my purchases – I wash every single one of them! And many, including the expensive ones off Amazon, bleed. However, they only do so the first time you wash them, and then, once they are dry they never bleed again.

Here are other care tips you might want to try out and see if that improves your experience:
– washing your clothes with similar colors, on their own, or by hand;
– folding or hanging them appropriately;
– making sure you control the humidity of your closet;
– cleaning your shoes regularly;
– avoiding harsh cleaners;
– being careful with perfumes and makeup.

Amazon Summer Outfit N.3

If you already have that dress, maybe you bought it earlier this year, or last year on my recommendation, here’s another one I love.

This one is longer and has a more modern, unique style. It’s perfect if you like cinching your waist, or appreciate items that have a little more detail. That alone, can make your outfit feel elevated rather than basic!

I chose to style this gorgeous shade of green because it’s different than the usual Italian color palette we’re used to, yet gorgeous nonetheless.

In case you are wondering, this color is supposed to look lovely on both Winters and dark Autumns.

Trendy or not, I think we’ve seen black polka dots dominate Summers for many years. It’s time to switch things up. Let’s give the white polka dots a chance this season. You could do it with a dress, or just with a bag or a silk scarf.

Here’s the outfit I have in mind when I think Italian Summer vacation nights that feel very dolce vita, but with a modern touch.

The Perfect Italian Style Two-Piece Set

I was so happy when I found this set. It’s the perfect one to pack for Summer vacation. You might wear the top once, but then wear the skirt a second or third time. And it feels so chic and easy to style.

However, I almost didn’t share it because of this one comment I found: someone was saying that this bleeds.

On second thought I told myself, many clothing pieces bleed. They just need to be washed once before you wear them. You let them fully dry, and they are perfect to be worn.

It’s up to you whether you give this a try or not. If I can get it delivered, I am going to order it in black.

The Summer Version of the Italian Uniform

How many times have I shared this very Italian outfit formula: a midi A line skirt with a button up shirt tucked in? Too many, I know, but it works for most seasons. In summer, all you have to do is swap the long sleeve for sleeveless, and pair it with sandals.

I am sharing the most classic timeless color combination, but you could also do black and white, khaki and white, navy and pinstripes, and so many other options.

Note: the first skirt option, which is my favorite, is often returned because it has a lot of fabric, but that’s the style we want for this outfit. The important thing is that the fabric looks nice, and that the skirt fits you well around the waist and lengthwise.
